The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement hosted their first Women’s Day at Graymoor on Thursday, August 17.

With more than 50 women in attendance, this remarkable occasion was a day of celebration and remembrance. Special guest, Kacey Morabito Grean, began the day with a journaling exercise that ignited inspiration and appreciation among all present.

Followed by a Mass and luncheon with the Friars of the Atonement, the women enjoyed a presentation by guest, Ronald Pompei, CPA, highlighting the importance of ensuring the spiritual and financial well-being of ourselves and our families.

The extraordinary event ended with Joy Pellegrino, Spiritual Director/Art Therapist, Holy Mountain Franciscan Retreat Center/Saint Christopher’s Inn, who facilitated a beautiful Litany of Remembrance.

Each woman had the opportunity to honor and remember the women who have made the most profound impact on their lives. Fr. Emil Tomaskovic, SA, concluded with the prayer of our founder, Servant of God Father Paul Wattson, SA.

BLESSING OF FATHER PAUL

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He make His face to shine upon you,
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up the light of his countenance
upon you and grant you peace.

And may the very God of Peace who
brought again from the dead Our Lord
Jesus Christ, that Great Shepherd of the
sheep, through the blood of the everlasting
covenant, even the Most Precious Blood of
the Atonement, make you perfect in every
good work, to do His Will, working in you
that which is well pleasing in His sight, and
make you to be numbered among the Children
of the Atonement in glory everlasting.
