THE FATHER PAUL WATTSON HERITAGE SOCIETY
The Friars invite you to become a Member of the Father Paul Wattson Heritage Society.
The Father Paul Wattson Heritage Society is a special honor reserved to benefactors of the Friars who have demonstrated their support for the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement in a significant way — either through a planned gift in life, or through a bequest in their final will and testament.
As a Member of this very special Society, it pleases us to provide you with the following perpetual spiritual benefits:
Recognition as a member – by name – on the Heritage Society Commemorative Wall on permanent display at Graymoor.
Proclaiming your Membership and a special Lapel Pin designed exclusively for Society Members.
Daily remembrance in the Perpetual Novena to St. Anthony celebrated at Graymoor.
Remembrance in and an invitation to participate in an Annual Heritage Day Mass to be celebrated at Graymoor in June each year.
Perpetual Membership in the Graymoor Spiritual Union with remembrance in masses and novenas celebrated by the Friars at Graymoor and throughout the world.
There are many ways for you to be eligible for this special Heritage Society Membership.
You may qualify now with a single Planned Gift of $5,000 or more in one or more of the following categories:
Charitable Gift Annuity, – will provide you or a loved one with fixed annual income for life, generous tax benefits and permanent spiritual benefits while supporting the mission and ministries of the Friars.
Life Income Gifts (Trusts) – A life income trust allows you to provide income for yourself or a loved one while helping the Friars of the Atonement at the same time. Options such as a Charitable Remainder Trust or a Charitable Lead Trust allow you to transfer assets to the Friars while you or your loved one continues to receive income from the investment.
Gift of Insurance Policies – By gifting a life insurance policy to the Friars of the Atonement, you may be able to give a larger gift than you otherwise thought possible. You simply designate the Friars as the beneficiary on a new or existing policy, which allows you to take a tax deduction for the cost of your annual premiums, among other tax savings.
Retirement Plan Gifts – You may also name the Friars as a beneficiary on your retirement plan, including IRA, Keogh plans, profit sharing, company savings or pensions. This option allows you to avoid heavy taxation by using lower-taxed assets for yourself and your loved ones while shifting high-taxed assets to the Friars.
Still one more way…
to become a Member and demonstrate your support for the Friars and their work
– regardless of your current financial situation is to:
Remember the Friars through a bequest in your Last Will And Testament. Imagine, this might allow you to make an even greater impact on the future of the Friars’ mission than you ever dreamed you could!
