On Sunday, October 1st, St. Christopher’s Inn kicked off its second annual Be the Bridge: Walk for Recovery on a high note.

The Inn received a proclamation from New York State Senator Rob Rolison, recognizing SCI’s efforts in providing care for men in crisis.

“It is the sense of this legislative office to recognize organizations and individuals who contribute greatly to the wellbeing and the vitality of their community. As such, these efforts deserve recognition and applause from all its citizens,” the proclamation read.

Senator Rolison visited St. Christopher’s Inn on September 28th.

The Bridge Walk was a success, exceeding the original goal and raising over $70,000. Proceeds went toward supporting men battling the diseases of addiction and alcoholism at St. Christopher’s Inn. A ministry of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement, St. Christopher’s Inn is a leader in providing men ages 18 and older with addiction treatment and rehabilitation.
