As we prepare for the celebration of our Lord’s birth in the coming weeks, the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement will again be part of the annual Ecumenical Advent and Vespers Series.

Each Sunday during Advent, at different churches in the area, ecumenical services will be offered as “an opportunity to experience the spirit of ecumenism.”

All services will begin at 4 p.m., with Catholic and Episcopalian clergy presiding.

The first service takes place Sunday, November 27 at Our Lady of Loretto Church (24 Fair St. Cold Spring, NY, 10524).

The second service will occur on Sunday, December 4 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in the Highlands (1 Chestnut St., Cold Spring, NY, 10524).

The third service happens on Sunday, December 11 at Our Lady of the Atonement Chapel (40 Franciscan Way, Garrison, NY, 1024).

The fourth and final service will take place on Sunday, December 18 at St. Philip in the Highlands (1101 Route 9D, Garrison, NY, 10524).
