Friars to begin their year-long, global celebration this December with special events and recognitions, beginning with Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City on December 15th and additional community initiatives and activities throughout 2024.
Our community is busy here at Graymoor and across the globe! December serves as a significant month for the Friars from feast days, the season of Advent, the anniversary of the Foundation of the Society of the Atonement, and of course, the birth of Jesus.
Each November, the Catholic Church observes National Vocation Awareness Week. Throughout these special seven days, the Church promotes vocations to ordained ministry and consecrated life through prayer, invitation and education. It is also a week during which the Church supports those who are considering vocations.
On Sunday, October 1st, St. Christopher’s Inn kicked off its second annual Be the Bridge: Walk for Recovery on a high note. The Inn received a proclamation from New York State Senator Rob Rolison, recognizing SCI’s efforts in providing care for men in crisis.
