Music came alive at Graymoor on October 16 during a new event called “Blues on the Mountain.” The blues band The 3B’s performed for the Friars and their guests at St. Anthony’s shrine. Hosted by the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement and St. Christopher’s Inn, the event renewed the shrine as a gathering place for the community. While they listened to fantastic music, guests explored the grounds of Graymoor and learned about the work of the Friars.

Several were new to the Holy Mountain,” said Lisa Quist, Executive Director of Mission Support for the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement and St. Christopher’s Inn. “[That] was the whole point of the concert – to bring people to the Holy Mountain.” And it certainly did, as the event attracted about 50 people, an encouraging number for a brand-new event. This is just one of many exciting opportunities to bring community events to Graymoor.
