On Sunday, June 12, pilgrims by the hundreds descended upon the Holy Mountain for the first full-scale, in-person celebration of the Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua at Graymoor since before the pandemic in 2019.

The Graymoor Ecumenical and Interreligious Institute introduced its inaugural class of six Graymoor Scholars, who will discuss their research at the upcoming Ecclesiological Investigations conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

They gazed at and searched for memorial bricks at the shrine, and cries of “Here it is!” and “I found out!” were clear and distinct. It was the scene at Graymoor on Thursday morning, before Minister General Father Brian Terry, SA, blessed the bricks as part of Benefactor Appreciation Day.

San Damiano Farm will hold its first Farm Market of the 2022 season on Friday, June 10 at Graymoor. The market will be open each Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Among the offerings in the market’s first week are organically grown lettuce, kale, Swiss chard and garlic scapes.

During the recession at the New York Archdiocese’s annual White Mass, dedicated to healthcare workers, Cardinal Timothy Dolan paused several times to greet the faithful.

The Friars honor St. Anthony each June with a celebration at Graymoor, where thousands flock to for a day of pilgrimage and prayer. On Sunday, June 12, the Friars will hold the first large scale in-person celebration since 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The numerous recent acts that destroy human life, especially in its innocence, call us again to join Christ in His prayer that “all may be one.”

Deacon Tom Rich, TSA. D.MIN., J.C.L's relationship with the Society of the Atonement began in his youth. He brings a wealth of experience to his new role, as well as fresh ideas for the retreat center. He is hoping to put those ideas into practice.

Father Jim Puglisi, SA, attended this year’s workshop, which was held May 3-6 at Christ Cathedral in Orange, California. The workshop kicked off a busy month of May for Father Jim, who will be participating in many more ecumenical activities.
