As you make your plans for the Christmas season, we hope you will include a trip to the Holy Mountain at Graymoor. We invite you to celebrate, pray and shop at the home of the Franciscan Friars and Sisters of the Atonement.

Christmas Around the World

More than 100 crèches from countries near and far are on display.

In celebration of Christ’s birth, Graymoor will exhibit an international collection of crèches in the Graymoor Spiritual Life Center from November 20, 2018 – January 14, 2019. This free exhibit promises to delight all ages, and visiting each year is a wonderful family tradition.

This annual Christmas tradition started at Graymoor with a collection of crèches by the late Father Joseph P. Egan, SA. On display are stunning hand-made and mass-produced crèches from almost every continent and country. The crèches are constructed of materials as diverse as straw, wood, ceramic, stone, paper—even elk horn.

The display, in the Center’s fifth floor hallway and in the Library, is best viewed during daylight hours.

Christmas Shopping at Graymoor

Coming to the Holy Mountain? Avoid the mall’s crowds and the impersonal experience of mass retailers. There are three stores at Graymoor that offer one-of-a-kind items and personalized shopping experiences. These are truly gifts that give twice: your purchases support the ministries of the Friars & Sisters of the Atonement.

Shop for the perfect, most meaningful gift at the Graymoor Book & Gift Center. Shop for children’s and adult books, devotional items, jewelry, religious medals, cards, inspirational plaques and mugs, 12-step encouragement items and learning, CDs and DVDs. A Friar will bless your gift upon request.

Browse the wonderful treasures at the That Nothing Be Lost Thrift Shop and support the Friars’ recovery ministry of St. Christopher’s Inn. Treasures include clothing, accessories, home furnishings and decorating items, toys, antiques, Christmas decorations, unique, gently used for gifts or your own enjoyment.
