Tired of the constant political, racial, and religious divide in this country? Can’t we agree on ANYTHING anymore?
The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement pray fervently for Christian unity. We call it “At-One-Ment” because we know that our Lord desires for His body to be one–serving together, restoring relationships, and healing through the power of Christ.
The Franciscan At-One-Ment Mission Project is a program of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement through which we invite college-aged young men to serve in one of the Friars’ “At-One-Ment” ministries of healing and reconciliation.
You can apply for one of these two opportunities:
Helping homeless and chemically dependent men regain their lives as productive members of society.
Fostering interreligious dialogue so that all Christian faiths and world religions may work together to bring reconciliation to our divided society and world.
The mission is June 14- August 12, 2018. The priority deadline to apply is March 15, 2018!
There is no better way to help a hurting, divided world than to dive in, roll up your sleeves, and serve people who are often disregarded by society.
You may have won a few debates with random classmates in your government class this past semester. You may have had some good comebacks around the table at Thanksgiving. But all of those words are empty unless you are willing to work for healing, peace, and unity.
