The Franciscan At-One-Ment Mission Project is a program of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement. With Jesus and St. Francis as guides, we invite young men to serve in one of the Friars’ “At-One-Ment” ministries of healing and reconciliation.
SUMMER VOLUNTEER PROGRAM FOR COLLEGE AGED MEN

- Helping men suffering from drug and alcohol addiction recover and heal.
- Fostering religious dialogue so that all Christian faiths and world religions may work together better to bring reconciliation to our divided, hurting world.

St. Christopher’s Inn (SCI)
St. Christopher’s Inn (stchristophersinn-graymoor.org) is a treatment center dedicated to healing men with chemical addiction. Volunteers support the men as they work elbow-to-elbow with them in running the vital functions of the Inn.
Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute (GEII)
Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute (geii.org) in Manhattan promotes Christian unity and interreligious dialogue. As part of the 8-week program, participants will go to Rome to participate in a Summer Course on interreligious dialogue from June 24-July 14, 2019. Upon returning, volunteers will offer presentations at Catholic churches on what they learned.

St. Christopher’s Inn (SCI) volunteers: SCI volunteers live on-site and share living quarters with the Friars. As part of the immersion experience, participants will eat and pray with the men of the Inn, while also having a chance to get to know the Friars and their charisms of reconciliation and healing.
Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute (GEII) volunteers: GEII volunteers will live in community with a small group of Friars at their residence in Manhattan and in Rome. They will participate with the Friars in the routine of community meals and prayer.
Volunteers of both tracks will come together often for days of discernment & fellowship.
Lodging, food and transportation costs connected to programming are covered. GEII participants are responsible for the cost of roundtrip airfare to Rome.
Men, single, Catholic, age 19-25, who have preferably completed at least two years of college.
