About Deacon James Flannery, TSA

Deacon James Flannery, TSA, joined the Fraternity of the Society of the Atonement in January of 2020. Deacon Flannery is currently assigned to Saint Bernard, RC Church in Levittown, New York. He has also served as the Chaplain for the Oceanside Fire Department in New York since 1989.

Deacon Flannery holds a B.A. from Saint Joseph College, Brooklyn and an M.A. from Saint Joseph Seminary. He was ordained a deacon for the Diocese of Rockville Centre on May 23, 1987. Over the years, Deacon Flannery has taught both elementary and high school students and was involved in youth ministry for over twenty years. At one time he was the Director of Deacons for the Diocese of Rockville Centre.

Deacon Flannery married Marie in 1974. They have one daughter, Kellyanne, and two grandchildren.
