This year has seen many changes in how the world celebrates special occasions. The same is true at Graymoor. Sadly, St. Anthony Weekend at Graymoor, previously scheduled for June 13 and 14, has been cancelled.

Even though in-person feast day celebrations will not take place this year, please join the Friars in prayer during the Feast Day Novena beginning on June 13, and deepen your devotion to St. Anthony through online videos, audio prayers and other resources. And be sure to follow the Friars on Facebook for a series of Livestream events on June 13 and other special content honoring the Wonderworker, St. Anthony of Padua.

You can also learn more about the life of St. Anthony of Padua in this video narration from Fr. Bob as well as the dramatized rendition during a special episode of the Ave Maria Radio Hour here. In addition to the St. Anthony Feast Day Novena, the Friars participate in a perpetual novena to St. Anthony that you can learn about here.

The Friars are also celebrating many important anniversaries. The St. Anthony Shrine at Graymoor was completed in 1960, for the 20th anniversary of Fr. Paul’s passing, as a permanent legacy to his great devotion to fellow Franciscan, St. Anthony of Padua. This year as we recognize the 80thanniversary of Fr. Paul’s passing and the Shrine’s Diamond Jubilee, we are reminded of the great legacies of both Fr. Paul and St. Anthony. For the 60th anniversary of the St. Anthony Shrine, we invite you to learn more about the Shine and consider donating to the preservation for years to come here!
