Saints Who Help With Discernment
There are several individual saints whose intercession we should seek while we discern God’s will for ourselves. We should be reminded that the entire Body of Christ is spiritually bonded through grace. It’s high time we ask ALL the saints for help.
We suggest asking the entire Church Triumphant to pray for your vocation. Every single saint had to make decisions about his or her own life. Every single one struggled with what “yes to God” actually meant. They all had circumstances that confused them. Yet, through the Holy Spirit they were able to discern God’s will.
St. Augustine, St. Rita of Cascia, St. Martin de Porres, St. John Vianney, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Clare of Assisi...all incredible saints! But as Catholics, we don’t have to pick only one to intercede for us. Paul tells us we are “surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses” and All Saints Day is the perfect time to ask ALL your brothers and sisters in heaven for prayers.
