Scripture will come alive for several Deacons who will accompany Fr. James Gardiner, SA, on a retreat pilgrimage to the Holy Land, taking place over the New Year.

Schafer is from Dayton, Ohio, and graduated from Purdue University this past spring with a degree in Environmental and Ecological Engineering. He was actively involved in Campus Ministry during college, including ministry to the poor and marginalized.

This past Friday, October 6, 2017, the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement hosted their annual Sharing Hope Celebration Dinner at the Pierre Hotel in New York City.

This year’s annual Sharing Hope Celebration dinner will be graced by original works of art created by Br. Ted Novak, SA. His unique pottery will be on display for all to enjoy throughout the evening.

Wednesday, October 4th, marks the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi. This popular saint committed more than his fair share of sin, sought nobility, honor, and material wealth in his younger years, and took a fairly long time to repent and give his life to Christ.

For its 2017 Awards program, the Catholic Press Association (CPA) gave two awards to Ecumenical Trends. CPA received 2,688 submissions in 338 categories.

Approximately 600 alumni and guests from around New York and the United States gathered for the 21st annual St. Christopher's Inn Alumni Reunion at Graymoor. The day included time for prayer, sports, and fellowship.

You guys really made me feel special. That’s what one of the Brother’s Christopher told me at dinner on Friday night after myself and one of the other Brothers Christopher had helped him pick out a suit to wear to his separation in a few weeks.
