SUMMER MINISTRY PROGRAM FOR COLLEGE AGED MEN
June 14 — August 11, 2019

We invite you to live, pray, & minister with us and discern God’s call!

Participate in an 8-week summer immersion program to explore ministry in religious life with the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement.

PROGRAM PILLARS:

Service

Engage in ministries of the Friars (see options below).

Community

Live and participate in the Friars’ community and participate in fraternity and prayer.

Discernment

Explore God’s call to religious life through weekly reflection sessions on discerning God’s call.

APPLY FOR EITHER TRACK:

St. Christopher’s Inn Track (SCI)

St. Christopher’s Inn is a treatment center dedicated to healing men struggling with chemical addiction. Participants offer a “ministry of presence” as they work elbow-to-elbow with the men in running the vital functions of the Inn, such as preparing meals.

Walking in solidarity also includes joining the men in attending lectures about addiction, Eucharist, and daily meditation. Depending on interests, participants can also serve in our retreat department as well as public relations and fundraising.

Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute (GEII)

Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute promotes Christian unity and interreligious dialogue. As part of the 8 weeks, participants will study in Rome for a three-week course on ecumenical and interreligious dialogue. After this, they will give presentations on what they learned at parishes run by the Friars.
