Father Vitaliy Perih Postulancy

Father Vitaliy Perih has long been a supporter of the Society of the Atonement.

On March 19, Laetare Sunday – the Fourth Sunday in Lent – Father Vitaliy celebrated his entrance into postulancy. As such, he is now a candidate for membership of the Society of the Atonement.

The Ukrainian-born priest has been engaged in both Italian parishes and in the formation of other seminarians in his country. During his latest assignment in Italy, at the Diocese of Grosseto, Father Vitaliy aided many of his fellow countrymen and women who were made refugees by the war.

Currently, Father Vitaliy is continuing ministerial activity for many Ukrainian children hospitalized at the Bambino Gesu Hospital in Rome. There, he embodies the spirit of the Friars’ At-One-Ment Charism, providing spiritual care and serving as a linguistic and cultural mediator between the medical and paramedical staff, and the Ukrainian families who are present.

As he continues his formation as an Atonement Friar, Father Vitaliy is working under Postulancy Director Father Tim MacDonald, SA.

We wish Father Vitaliy the best and pray for him during this next stage of his ministry.
