The film chronicles the last three years of the life of Salvadoran Bishop Oscar Romero who evolved from ‘a mouse of a man to a tiger struggling for justice and defending the rights of his people… He knew his defiance of the military would cost him his life.” Romero is a story of contemporary Christian heroism.
