Dr. Eboo Patel spoke at the 2018 Paul Wattson Lecture, held at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago on October 3, 2018. More than just addressing the similarities and differences of different religions, he spoke of the encounters between the people professing different faiths.

While Paul Wattson Lectures have been held in a number of locations for many years, this is the second of it’s kind hosted in the Windy City and was a collaboration between the Friars and the Catholic Theological Union. Minster General Brian Terry, SA, as well as Fr. Jim Loughran, SA, were in attendance for this special event.

Dr. Patel is a leading voice in the movement for interfaith cooperation and the Founder and President of Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC), a national nonprofit working to make interfaith cooperation a social norm. He is the author of Acts of Faith: The Story of an American Muslim, the Struggle for the Soul of a Generation. Dr. Patel served on President Obama’s Inaugural Faith Council.
