St. Christopher's Inn, located at Graymoor, is temporary home to more than 1,200 men each year. Since 1908, the Inn has served thousands of men 18 years and older, many of whom are homeless. Most suffer from drug addiction and/or alcohol abuse.

The Inn provides food, clothing, shelter and counseling to its residents, regardless of race, religion or walk of life. Through a unique and effective program, men can find the combination of spiritual, physical, and emotional healing which leads to recovery.

Men who seek help with alcohol/substance abuse problems may be referred to the St. Anthony Outpatient Clinic at St. Christopher's which is also open in the evenings to men and women living in the surrounding communities. They may also be referred to St. Joseph's Rehabilitation Center or the Halfway House of Westchester. While receiving treatment, a resident may extend his stay at St. Christopher's for up to three months.

St. Christopher's Inn also provides additional services including a family program, vocational assistance, educational guidance, GED, acupuncture and primary medical care. Participation in spiritual services is voluntary but a Chaplain is always on site for spiritual guidance.

St. Christopher's Inn, possibly the oldest continuously-open shelter in the New York metropolitan area, is supported by private contributions.
