Since they opened their Spiritual Life
Center at Graymoor in 1970, the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement
have offered people of many different religious traditions and
all walks of life an opportunity to slow down and encounter
the Spirit in their lives.
The
Graymoor Spiritual Life Center offers a year-round schedule
of weekend, weekday and evening retreats and programs designed
for both groups and individuals,
including married couples, seniors, young adults, clergy, and
men and women in recovery. Others focus on specific topics that
meet proven needs - e.g. spirituality of the twelve steps, what
Christians can learn from the insights and practices of Buddhists,
etc.
The
Center also hosts meetings, conferences and days of renewal
for parish and church groups, high school and college students,
and denominational and interreligious organizations.
It provides chapel space, meeting rooms, dining facilities and
overnight accommodations.
