YEAR
OF ST. PAUL
Saturday,
June 28th, is the beginning of the Year of St. Paul commemorating the 2000th
anniversary of his birth. The Year, which will conclude June 29th, 2009, has
what Pope Benedict XVI called one particular aspect to which special attention
must be paid
I am referring to the ecumenical dimension. The Apostle
to the Gentiles, who was especially committed to taking the Good News to all
peoples, left no stones unturned for unity and harmony among all Christians.
He concludes: May he deign to guide us and protect us in this bimillenial
celebration, helping us to progress in the humble & sincere search for the
full unity of all the members of Christs Mystical Body. Amen. A
reading list is in preparation.
