In celebration of Christ's birth, the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement are exhibiting an international collection of crèches in the Graymoor Spiritual Life Center from December 4th through January 9th.
Started by the late Father Joseph P. Egan, SA, the Graymoor collection features hand-made and mass-produced crèches from almost every continent and country. The crèches are made from materials as different as straw, wood, ceramic, stone, and paper-even elk horn. The display, in the Center's fifth floor hallway and in the Library, are best viewed during daylight hours.
